Is this system suitable for my event or venue?
This system is ideal for fetes, festivals, equestrian events, car shows, air shows, sport days, sports match screenings or any outdoor event where speech and/or music is required.
Are microphones included?
Yes, this package includes both a wireless and wired microphone, allowing you to take on a large number of applications. The two microphones can be used independently or both at the same time as required. The system also includes an optional feature where one microphone automatically reduces the volume of the music when spoken into.
Is this system weatherproof?
Everything which needs to be exposed to the elements, including the speakers, stands and speaker cable, is weatherproof and can be safely operated in rainy conditions. The mixer/amplifier and microphones should be kept under a covered area or inside.
Can I set this system up myself?
Whilst technical expertise is not always essential, we always recommend undertaking the initial setup with a handy-type-person with a grasp of simple audio systems. All systems arrive in individual boxes and require some assembly.
Will I require any tools?
Weatherproof horns must be linked together in a daisy-chain formation. The included length of cable must be cut to the desired length before being stripped and attached to the two pins located on the rear of each horn. In order to strip away the protective coating and reveal the bare wires underneath, a pair of wire strippers are essential. A small Philips screwdriver should be used to connect the cable to the relevant pins located on the rear of the horn.
How can this system be powered?
The amplifier, speakers and wired microphone can be powered either from mains power or a 24Vdc battery (not included). The wireless microphone receiver requires mains power to operate.
Can I play music over this system?
Yes, several options are provided to do this: Bluetooth and wired phono input for external devices, plus a built-in USB/SD reader.
